Work package 2:
Monitoring of the KNWN and the systems involved in the Schifferstadt demonstrator

Work steps:

  1. Creation of a monitoring concept and definition of the necessary measured values:
A well thought-out concept will be developed to collect the relevant measurement data. This includes data for the operational optimization of the KNWN, visualization purposes in the KNWN experience path as well as data for the validation of the calculation tools.
  2. Set-up and commissioning of the monitoring (hardware side):
The physical implementation of the monitoring will be carried out, including the expansion and adaptation of the measurement technology in the project area. This includes cabling, internet connection and data transmission.
  3. Setup and commissioning of the monitoring (software side):
The technical implementation of the monitoring on the software side takes place. This includes the setup of a monitoring database, the connection of the measurement data transmission, monitoring of the measured values during operation, operation and maintenance of the database as well as the extension of the GeoWaermeWende portal by a database connector.
  4. Provision of the measurement data of the KNWN and the decentralized heat pumps:
The collected measurement data is made available and can be used by various partners involved. This enables a detailed analysis and evaluation of the data to improve the KNWN and the systems involved.

Work package 2 ensures that comprehensive and reliable monitoring is established for the KNWN. The collected data provides insights into the performance of the system and contributes to continuous optimization. This not only enables efficient operational management, but also active public relations and further development of computational tools.
